The power is out, the generator is silent, or it is running and the house is still dark. Before you call, there are five things you can check with a flashlight in two minutes. After that, our generator technicians diagnose and repair standby generators of any brand across Mobile and Baldwin County, nights and weekends during an outage. Certified Generac® dealer; Kohler, Briggs & Stratton, Cummins, Champion and the rest serviced too.
Call (251) 680-7500 Request Storm ServiceMost no-start calls during an outage are one of these. Check them in order, with the flashlight, without opening anything you need tools for.
If none of that starts it, stop cranking and call. Repeated cranking drains the battery and hides the real fault.
If you see downed lines, smell burning or hear buzzing, stay away, keep people and pets clear, and call 911 or the power company first. Then call us.

A battery that was fine in May is dead in September, especially on a unit that has not been exercised. Replaced on the spot; terminals cleaned and protected.
Closed valves, low propane, a regulator that failed in the rain, or neighborhood gas pressure that dropped when every generator on the street started at once.
Low oil pressure shuts the engine down on purpose. Topped up and the leak found, or an overdue service done on the spot.
RPM sense loss, undervoltage and overcrank codes point to the starter, the fuel solenoid, the ignition or the controller itself. We carry the common parts.
The generator runs and the house stays dark: a stuck automatic transfer switch, a blown control fuse, a failed transfer coil or a tripped generator breaker. Tested at the switch, repaired, and the house comes back.
Overheating from a clogged intake, a fuel issue that only shows under load, or an engine that was overdue for service before the storm. Diagnosed under load, not by guesswork.
The make, the error on the display, and whether it cranks, runs or does nothing. That decides what goes on the truck.
Battery, fuel, oil, controller codes, the transfer switch and the output, tested in that order. Most no-starts are found in the first fifteen minutes.
Batteries, fuel regulators, oil, filters, control fuses and the common Generac® parts ride on the truck during storm season. Bigger parts are ordered with a real lead time.
The generator run under load, the transfer tested both ways, and what we found written down for your records and, if it applies, the warranty.
Generator technicians nights and weekends during an outage, any brand, with batteries, regulators and the common parts on the truck.
We are a certified Generac® dealer, which means factory training, warranty service and the parts that other shops wait on. It does not mean we only touch Generac. Kohler, Briggs & Stratton, Cummins, Champion, Westinghouse and the portable in the driveway all get the same diagnosis and the same honest answer, and when a unit is not worth repairing we say so.
During an outage the calls run in the order they come in, with maintenance-plan customers first, because a generator that is exercised and serviced every year is the one that starts. If yours did not, the repair visit is the right time to put it on a plan so the next storm is quiet.
A generator that ran for three days needs an oil change, a filter and a look at the battery and the air intake before it goes back to standby, and the error log on the controller tells us what it struggled with. A unit that failed to start needs the root cause fixed, not just a new battery. We schedule the recovery service in the weeks after a storm, with priority for the units we repaired during it.
If the storm convinced you that a portable in the driveway is not enough, or that an older standby has reached the end, we size and install standby generators as inventory allows, and we tell you the real lead time up front.
"A storm came through and messed up the electric in our house. We got a quote quickly and they got us up and running fast! The guys did a great job and even helped us save money."
— Devan H., Google review"Came home late afternoon to find my power off. I called after hours and Robby was over in 15 min. It was a bad circuit breaker. From the time I saw I had no power til the time I had power back on was around 30 min. Amazing. Super nice guys as well."
— Gary S., Google review"They diagnosed a power issue that other companies weren't able to. The technician was extremely knowledgeable and professional, and explained everything very well. Also, I called them at 8 at night and got a human being on the phone!"
— Laura B., Google reviewMost often a dead battery, a controller left in OFF or MANUAL, a closed fuel valve or an empty propane tank, or a low-oil shutdown. Check those five things first; if the unit still will not start, stop cranking and call. Repeated cranking hides the fault and kills the battery.
Usually the transfer switch did not transfer, or the generator's own main breaker tripped. Reset the breaker once. If the house is still dark the transfer switch needs to be tested; it is a common and fixable fault.
Overcrank means it tried and never fired, usually fuel or ignition. Low oil pressure is a protective shutdown. RPM sense loss and undervoltage point to the starter, the sensor or the controller. Tell us the exact code and words when you call and the right parts come on the truck.
Yes. Kohler, Briggs & Stratton, Cummins, Champion, Westinghouse and portable units. We are a certified Generac dealer for factory warranty work, and we service everything else with the same diagnosis.
Yes. Generator calls during an outage run nights and weekends in the order they come in, with maintenance-plan customers first. The number is the same, and a person answers.
An annual service with a battery test and a load test, and a monthly exercise cycle that actually runs. Maintenance-plan customers get both, plus priority service during a storm. We can set it up on the repair visit.
