Not without checking. Builder systems were often sized by rule of thumb and the ductwork sized to the drawing. We run a Manual J load calculation on the house as it is now and measure the ductwork, and the right size is frequently different from the nameplate.
For most Eastern Shore homes a heat pump is the better fit: it cools all summer and heats efficiently through our short, mild winters, with electric backup for the few nights in the 20s. A gas furnace still makes sense in some homes, and we'll say so when it does.
