Mini split repair, maintenance and installation for homes in Saraland, Satsuma, Chickasaw and across the bay in Spanish Fort. Blinking lights, ice on the coil, a zone that quit cooling: diagnosed by a licensed technician, repair price before we start.
Call (251) 680-7500 Schedule ServiceDuctless mini splits have quietly become the go-to system for the rooms central air never reached: the converted garage, the sunroom, the mother-in-law suite, the workshop out back. Saraland has a lot of them. They're efficient and quiet when they're healthy, and they're specific when they're not. A blinking indicator light, an error code on the head, water dripping down the wall, or a zone that runs all day without cooling means something in a fairly small list has failed.
Professional Systems repairs, maintains and installs ductless systems across Saraland and the northern end of Mobile County. Our technicians work on the major mini split brands, carry the common parts, and, because we're electrically licensed too, handle the dedicated circuit and disconnect when the problem turns out to be power rather than refrigerant.

Leak search, flare repairs, line set replacement and a charge set by weight and subcooling, not topped off by feel.
Cleared drains, replaced pumps and correctly pitched lines so the water goes outside instead of down the wall.
Indoor blower and outdoor fan motors, capacitors and the deep-clean a blower wheel needs after a few Gulf Coast summers.
Control boards, thermistors, and the communication wiring between the head and the outdoor unit that a lightning storm or a nicked cable takes out.
Filter and coil cleaning, condensate treatment, electrical checks and a refrigerant check twice a year, or on our maintenance plan.
Single- and multi-zone systems sized by load calculation for additions, garages and whole homes. See ductless mini split installation.
A ductless head pulls room air across a coil that's cold and wet most of the year, in a climate where the outside air is humid nine months out of twelve. That combination grows biofilm on the coil and blower wheel faster than it would in a dry climate, which shows up as a musty smell, weaker airflow and a system that runs longer to do the same job. Pollen in the spring and dust from a garage or shop workspace speed it up.
The fix is boring and effective: wash the filters monthly during cooling season, and let a technician deep-clean the coil, blower wheel and drain pan at least once a year. Our maintenance plan covers two visits, one before summer and one before winter, and includes the outdoor unit: coil rinse, fan motor check, electrical connections tightened and the refrigerant charge verified.
The light pattern, the error code, the zone that quit. It shortens the diagnosis, and we bring the likely parts.
The technician checks the head, the outdoor unit, the line set and the power feeding it, then explains what failed in plain English.
You get the repair price before any work starts. Most repairs are finished on the first visit.
Saraland's mix of established brick ranches off Highway 43 and newer subdivisions toward Semmes means we see two kinds of mini split work: retrofits that added a zone to a room the original system never served, and multi-zone systems that replaced central air entirely in smaller homes. Satsuma, Creola and Chickasaw are more of the first kind; the newer neighborhoods more of the second. Either way, the outdoor units sit close to the ground, close to the grass, and close to the salt-tinged air that rolls up the Mobile River, and they pay for it in coil corrosion if they're skipped at maintenance time.
We also handle ductless mini split repair in Spanish Fort, Daphne and Fairhope on the Eastern Shore, where the same systems cool a lot of pool houses and garage apartments. Professional Systems is headquartered at 216 E I-65 Service Rd N in Mobile, minutes from Saraland; see our Saraland service page for everything we do there.
"I called on a Friday evening due to my AC not cooling and in less than an hour a technician was at my home. Very professional and knowledgeable. I had to have my air handler replaced and on Monday I received my quote and on Wednesday they were there to replace it."
— Paula D., Google review"We are more than satisfied with the responsiveness and thorough job done by Professional Systems. Mark Graham, the technician, was amazing! We arrived and found our air conditioner was only putting out hot air."
— Marsetta R., Google review"Professional Systems responded quickly, diagnosed an unusual problem and had me up and running in short order. They charged me less than I expected to pay and the whole process took less time than I anticipated."
— David A., Google reviewIt depends on what failed: a clogged drain or a capacitor is a small repair, a control board or a refrigerant leak is a larger one. The technician diagnoses the system and gives you the repair price in writing before any work starts.
The indicator light is reporting a fault code, and each brand's pattern means something different: a communication error, a sensor failure, a refrigerant problem or a drain float switch. Note the pattern or the code on the display and tell us when you call; it shortens the diagnosis.
The condensate drain line is clogged, the pump has failed, or the line lost its pitch. In Saraland's humidity a mini split pulls a lot of water out of the air, so a blocked drain shows up fast. It's a common, quick repair, and the wall dries out once it's fixed.
We service the major ductless brands sold in this market. Tell us the brand and model when you call and we'll bring the likely parts.
Filters monthly during cooling season, and a professional deep-clean of the coil, blower wheel and drain pan at least once a year. Coastal humidity, pollen and garage dust make that more important here than in a dry climate.
If the system is under ten years old and the fault is a capacitor, a sensor, a pump or a board, repair it. A compressor failure, a leaking coil, or repeated repairs on a system with obsolete refrigerant usually mean the money goes further in a new system. We price both so you can decide with real numbers.
